For this project, we research a demographic group different than our own. We chose children ages 3-7 to observe, research and develop a magazine focus towards. Our magazine was actually focused towards young adult parents which we believe to be a more applicable audience. We went to the Child Development Center at Bethel University to observe the kids as our main form of primary research. After that, we read a variety of case studies and article about childhood behavior and development. We then took these ideas and developed out a magazine, writing articles pertaining to kids, choosing ads that were also related to things we observed and lastly including toys and recipes that were highly recommended for children. The magazine here is in slides, but we also created three physical copies.
